What Is Your Chinese Zodiac Sign?

Chinese Zodiac, Year of the Pig

2019 is considered the year of the Pig!

At least according to the Chinese Zodiac. Similar to western astrology, there are 12 animals of the zodiac and it is believed that depending on the year you were born in, you would receive the characteristics and personality traits of the animal assigned to that year. However, that’s where the similarities end.

There are many stories about how the Chinese Zodiac animals were selected, legends and myths passed down through generations. Some stories tell about how the Jade Emperor [The Emperor in Heaven] decided to hold a feast to assign the animals to calendar signs, and the first 12 animals that arrive would be chosen. The story goes on to tell of the cat who was too late to the feast, and the rat who was the first to arrive. In most versions of the story, the rat in some way tricked the cat so that it would be too late to the feast, which is why the cat is constantly chasing the rat. There are many different versions of the story, in case you know any yourself, you're welcome to share with us in the comment section below!

Now, lets get into the details.
