How to Find Moments for Yourself in Your Busy Day

Find Time for YourselfThe first thing you think about when you wake up is work, your to-do list for today and all the challenges you will have to face.

You even spend your time in the shower thinking about what you’re going to wear for work, you skip your breakfast because you’re late - for work. As if that wasn’t enough you work for 8 hours (very often even more), you come home and all you talk about with your partner or a friend is... work, work, work, work, work.

If you’ve recognized yourself in the description above, it’s official. You need to find your work-life balance asap.

We’ll admit it’s easier said than done and that’s why it’s important to set some boundaries for yourself. Starting from the moment you open your eyes in the morning.



Set your mantra for the day 

As soon as you wake up and before you set your foot on the ground, set a mantra for that day. You are in charge of how you feel so choose to think happy thoughts, instead of having a pessimistic outlook on how the day will unfold.

Find a moment of peace just for yourself

Mornings are usually the time when you can steal some moments just for yourself. In order to skip the morning rush, panic and hurry, prepare what you’re going to wear to work the night before. Of course, sometimes it will happen that you just don’t feel like wearing that outfit for the day but in most cases, it will prevent unnecessary hurry in the morning and allow you to have a few more minutes of your precious time just for yourself.

It can brighten you up and there’s nothing better than starting your day while dancing to your favorite tunes.


Find time for your hobby 

Your schedule should be very important to you. How you spend your time when you’re not working is influencing your mood, attitude, energy levels and happiness. Sometimes you will enjoy reading a book, sometimes you will enjoy watching Netflix, and sometimes you will feel like running 10 miles. No matter what your hobby is, find time in your busy schedule for it.

Dinner rules

Whether you’re going to a family dinner or a dinner with your friends or a partner after work, the most important rule of them all is: no phones allowed. This is the time you get to spend together, the time to talk about your day, what made you happy, what made you sad, all the interesting and less interesting things that happened that day. Most importantly, it’s your time to connect with each other, and what is more important than that?
